Privacy Policy

Compliance Scanner ("the Service") is operated by MP Media Design ("we," "us," or "our"), based in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada. The Service is available at scanner.mpmediadesign.com.

The Service is a practical pre-check for Canadian advisor marketing. You can paste a public URL or draft text to receive wording flags and optional rewrite suggestions. It is not legal advice and does not replace firm compliance review.

Account information. If you create an account, we collect the email address and password you provide. Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth. We store a related profile record (user id and email) so we can associate your scans with your account.

Scan content. When you run a scan, we process the URL or text you submit so we can return flags and rewrite suggestions. If you are signed in and saving is enabled, we store the scan input (URL and/or text, truncated as implemented), input type, and the resulting flags in our database so you can view history. Guest (signed-out) scans are processed to return results and are not saved to your account history.

Technical data. Our hosting and database providers may automatically process standard server logs such as IP address, request time, and user agent as part of operating the Service securely.

We use essential cookies required for signed-in sessions (Supabase Auth). We do not currently use third-party advertising or analytics cookies on the Service. If that changes, we will update this policy.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your scan content to train public AI models for unrelated products.

We use service providers to run the Service:

• Supabase — authentication, database, and related backend services for accounts and saved scans
• Vercel — hosting and delivery of the website and API routes
• AI providers (Vercel AI Gateway / OpenAI-compatible APIs) — when configured, optional LLM rewrite polish may send relevant scan excerpts and flag context to an AI provider so we can improve suggested rewrites. Rule matching still runs without an AI key; AI is an enhancement, not the only path.

These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and privacy practices. We configure them as needed to provide the Service.

Account and saved scan data are kept while your account remains active, or until you delete scans / request deletion, subject to any legal retention needs. Transient processing for guest scans is not stored in account history.

• Sign in to save and review past scans
• Delete individual saved scans where the product allows
• Email us at info@mpmediadesign.com to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information we hold

Depending on where you live (including Canadian privacy law applicable to our operations), you may have additional rights. Contact us to exercise them.

We use reputable infrastructure providers and access controls appropriate for a small SaaS tool (including encrypted transport and database row-level security for user scans). No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. Do not submit secrets, passwords, or highly sensitive personal data in scan text.

The Service is intended for business and professional use by adults. It is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction).

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
